With the chaos of last year lingering in our minds, many are still left with anguish and frustration. Oriel’s new single, “Scream,” then, is a track that can—and should be—treated as therapy. Showcasing lush, electronic soundscapes and seductive vocals, she details a shattered relationship and being one second away from a breakdown, rife with emotional clarity and personal stakes: “It’s been a slow burn/ A fading flame/ I can’t remember/ Our love unrestrained / When we said forever / Did we mean the same?”

The Los Angeles-based artist is known for her elevated electro-soul offerings. While she began as a production designer, she now takes those talents and applies them to self-managing her musical career, garnering a large fan base through her unique artistry. Speaking on the track, Oriel reveals that "from a songwriting standpoint, this is one of my best yet— depicting a fractured relationship on the verge of meltdown. On a global scale, this energy runs a parallel to so much of what humanity is experiencing, facing the chaos both within and around, as we stand in the eye of the storm.”
